Chocolate con queso! 😳 🤤
In germany we dont use the word gas when talking about carbonated water we say kohlensaüre Wasser mit Kohlensäure
0:56 What did that Colombian guy say to you?
The next time you come to Miami, we would love to have you at our Little Havana Food Tour!
Do I need to give tips when I dine in like in the US?
Krispy Kreme: it's the red "HOT NOW" sign you're looking for. If it's lit, they're making fresh donuts.
I live in Montana but travel to Knoxville, Iowa, each August for the sprint car races. Between Pella and Knoxville alone I have plenty of great eating places to choose from. However. I haven't yet tried the breaded pork you mentioned. I'll be sure to put that item at the top of my list for my visit this summer. BTW, I love those Twin Bings which are also available where I live.
Montreal is one of the greatest cities in world , and best restaurants
Add LaBelle province to your list of restaurants for great breakfast and smoke meat sandwiches and fantastic poutine.
I look picture bs
Very comprehensive overview of many German specialties! Don‘t forget the vegetarian cuisine - in Germany there are quite a lot people who prefer not to eat meat. I agree, it’s mostly a city thing, and in the rural areas you may have a hard time to find vegetarian food. But still, it’s a trend that did took root in many parts of the country. 😋
Ich bin Osas, die deutsch Essen ist Super 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m going to Finland this summer of 2024. We are staying just north of Espoo. This video was really helpful!
Awesome
True Greek breakfast.😊
HALIFAX DONAIR ❤🤤
Taking a "less fried/American/etc." approach to breakfast is making me feel better by a whole helluva lot when I eat, so I appreciate the experiences you are putting out there. Thanks!
Lol
Americans value breakfast even less. Oh, yeah, breakfast at diners is a thing, but the average working American, on a working day, will go for the coffee/tea and side option.
All true, for the rich, like richy rich americans in fancy places. My breakfast during all of my childhood was rolled oat flakes (Haferflocken) with warm milk and a cup of tea. But I agree, in hotels they serve these delicious breakfasts, not so much at home. The average pensión after 45 years of hard work ist €1.278 a month. So much about smoked salmon. I am not at all overpatriotic, don't even live in Germany anymore. You come from any foreign country after border checks have been abolished, you receive as a family with 2 kids €3.000+ as "Bürgergeld" without ever having contributed to the system plus free health inssurance. German food is beautiful. Living alone on a pensión it is simply not afordable.
Breakfast in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein: Bread, rolls, eggs, cheese, cold cuts and there's also a good section of fish!
is pfannkuchen and berliner not the same? genuine q
I purchased a Polish chicken pork pate that comes from a sausage shape like toothpaste last week. First time trying it. Was delicious in a toasted sandwich with tomato and spring onions.
I dont understand. Why? Germans are big people how do they skip breakfast like that? In UK we eat hot meat, eggs, beans etc. Similar in America but wierd with syrups.
Not quite. High tea is an early evening meal for children.
Mark, your personality is infectious! I love your energy and your presentation. Thanks for all the tips!
Couple of decent soft pretzels and a strong coffee, and I'm good.
Boiled peanuts are very popular in Queensland Australia too, but no so much in the other states, I personally don't like them😂
In northern Germany "Mett" (seasoned raw pork meat) is also a staple for breakfast 😁- best with a lot of fresh onions.
Makes me homesick, Great memories, My family and I lived in Germany a total of 9 years !!!
N' Bamberger Hörnchen mit Leberstreichwurst!!!
I love it when they have laugenecken as a bread option. Pretzel flavors with croissant textures.
I'm Finnish and me and my brother used to hate mushrooms. Then at around 10 year old, my dad made the mistake and told us to try a mushroom and Bacon omelette he made for him and our mom. They had to remake their dinner plans...
Also my dad was not 10 years old, a slight typo 😂
Why do italians always scam us?
Guten Tag 😂
Real german strawberry jam for break and a good Yoghurt
Guten Tag ja ja gut!! Germans dont drink Beer or even Wine for breakfast. Freestyle! Some eat Oatsmeals some eat a pizza and some the typical german breakfast with boiled Eggs,Brotchen with ham and cheese , cold Cuts and Coffee of course
Reality is that GERMAN GASTRONOMY 😮 , is NOT that GREAT 🤔 , one simple 😀 PROOF, is when you travel 😉 around the world, you DON'T see that many GERMAN RESTAURANTS or NOT at all 😊...but on the other hand, all the MEDITERRANEAN COUNTRIES, you DO find RESTAURANTS all around the world...😊.
No such thing as "low fat or low calories food" in the South!!
Love this guy so much info delivered in a broad way which makes this vid timeless. Will hit up the infatuation app for specific places
You are doing Rhode Island any justice at all.. .We never call hot dogs Weiners....it's Saugy or Hot dogs. Westerly wouldn't be the place to judge food in Rhide Island.....PROVIDENCE is the place for Rhode Island food....that lobster roll is sad looking
Nice one..great dish!
Wow. This is a really informative video Mark…thank you so much ❤
NUTELA, YOGURTS, Cereals and some exotic fruits like Kiwis and those likes are part of a German Breakfest since the later 80s. I should know been born in ´61 here around and having seen the rave rolling over Germany To me and my family Anchovis Paste on bread is also an all time favorite for breakfast
The Englishman thinks to himself, "Senseless Overenginnering"
And dont forget the Leberkässemmel. 😂
I guess there are huge regional variations : in Bavaria they eat more meat, in the north more fish and Berlin is more international. As a vegetarian I couldn't eat what was shown in this video but I never starved when visiting Germany.
Besides cups with yogurt we used to eat cups with quark that was served with fruit in the cup, like a yogurt. Quark is not as dense as creamcheese, a bit more like a creamy ricotta. Seasoned with herbs and spices we would eat it at lunch with salt potatoes. Besides Leberwurst (Braunschweiger) we have another spreadable meat option called Teewurst. It's pinker in color. Don't realy know what is in it, but it is delicious. Born and raised in Germany, but have bee living in the States since the late 80s. My German food I still miss a lot. Most mornings I will eat yogurt with fruit and Müsli, last night I had baguette with butter and cheese.
Bauernfrühstück is more for Brunch, or even dinner with a salad 🥗 a side
From georgia. Why on earth would you get those nasty moon pies when you can have glorious pralines?
